About the Newsletter

First off, we’d like to welcome you to the GWATFL Newsletter Online. We hope you enjoy our new look and the added functionality that comes with the blog format. Before you take a look around, we thought we’d answer a few questions…

Why have you moved online?
In an effort to embrace the community aspect of interaction on the web, we’ve decided to feature the GWATFL Newsletter Online. Rather than simply reading static pages, here you can comment on articles and posts, and submit events and announcements of your own. Help us build the GWATFL Community online by making sure to contribute your two cents!

In addition, because the web is accessible 24/7, you won’t have to wait to hear the latest news from GWATFL.

Will I still receive a newsletter in the mail?
Yes, you will. The paper newsletter will be shorter, though, and won’t contain all of the material included online. The two are meant to be read uniquely, and the one doesn’t replace the other.

Why should I still subscribe to the printed newsletter?
The newsletter is a major part of GWATFL membership, and as such, we still want you to remain a member. As a member, you also receive information in the printed newsletter about access to workshops, seminars, and other member resources.

Can I contribute to the Online Newsletter?
Of course! You can comment on posts and articles, and if you like, you can submit your contributions to our newsletter editor (Editor: Laura Franklin - lfranklin@gwatfl.org) to be included in the print newsletter as well.

One Response to “About the Newsletter”

  1. Barbara Pope Bennett Says:

    Dear GWATFL,
I am most pleased with the Newsletter online. I really like the accessibility 24/7 since occasionally, the newsletter is misplaced. Also, we have accumulated so much paper that I findi t necessary to engage in a special “housecleaning” each week just for papers, etc. Of course, We would NEVER throw out a GWATFL Newsletter. (Smile)

I also feel that there might be more of an incentive to submit items online since everyone is SO busy these days, even those of us who have retired.

This is a FANTASTIC IDEA !!!
